Drums Of War 2 enhances the percussive palette with intense, soundtrack-ready percussion instruments. Expanding our Drums Of War product line and setting the pace for the future. Drums Of War 2 is a powerful follow-up to the classic Drums Of War library, now with Kontakt Player and NKS encoding! With the original Drums Of War 1 library focusing on capturing a huge sound, embodied in cinematic textures, we wanted to create a follow-up with specific instrumentation and production techniques to provide a new way of working. We recorded individual percussion instruments, and we created Ensemble patches by double, triple, and quadruple-tracking. This is a powerful effect for creating a larger sound with realistic performance.

Pandrum is an exceptional instrument with a fantastic sound in a modern design. Finally it is a very impressive reproduction of a real handpan instrument, but also offers the ability to extremly extend and vary the entire sound by applying numerous features. WHAT IS A HANDPAN / PANDRUM A Hand Pan consists of two metal half-shells glued together with an opening whole in the bottom side. On top is a central tone field with the deepest note surrounded by a circle of at least seven tone fields with higher scale notes. The creation and tuning of the tone fields is extremely complex. In the process of tuning, the tuner hammers several overtones into every tone field. This takes a very long time. Finally the handpan is available in a large amount of scales from all over the world. In addition to the classic handpan instruments with battered in tone fields, there is also the department of the Tongue Drums, which work with metallic reeds.

The stratocaster is world renowned as one of the all time greats. It’s a very versatile guitar and been used in music genres such as rock, country, pop and jazz to name just a few. If you don’t own this guitar which 99.9% of us don’t can a sampler VST emulate you playing a real guitar. Well East West have certainly attempted to give you the ability to get as close as is physically possible in the box. Whilst this is not my favourite guitar East West have to offer it’s certainly a sound bank I will use if I need a strat in the session. The Strat 56 library contains a lot of great patches some of which can be found in another product called Goliath. In all honesty if you have Goliath you have the East West strat 56. Goliath contains all the best most used patches minus the key switch patches within it. You get a ton of extra patches with Goliath too which are all pretty awesome.
